Description
Introduces careers related to working with people with disabilities. Includes an introduction to special education, residential services, vocational services and other services for children and adults with disabilities. Includes an introduction to specific disabilities, ways people with disabilities learn, child development and literacy. Covers professionalism, teamwork, communication skills and behavior management. Requires completion of service learning projects.
